  Modernity across the street from Columbus Park.

  I see this tall black dude in the park most mornings.  Today he had his pants up and I noticed something odd - then I realized that his right, lower leg is a prosthesis.  He was carrying a big, black bag and laboring to hang it in a tree.  The tree (a low pine tree, I think) had a lot of leaves and he was trying to hide his bag.  After he was done and left, I went over and looked around.  The bag was in the tree, and you can barely see it unless you knew it’s there.  And I knew.
