I was looking through my sketchbook for lettering inspiration and saw my old sketches. It’s a strange feeling to see doodles I made in the past, and I want to give my future self some more to look at.
Tonight I drew from a picture of Dr. Samuel Dvoskin in the NY Times. An interesting story about a retired physician who now leads tours at the NY Botanical Garden (written by Caroline Dworin).
300 something pages in DeLillo’s Underworld, I’m giving up on the book. It’s a bit much for a casual reader like me to follow. I’ll give his shorter books a try. Picked up James Baldwin’s Tell me How Long the Train’s Been Gone at the outdoor used bookstore, Airstream, in Williamsburg. My very first Baldwin.
